Buy, Trade, Sell and Donate
We look at each item individually, checking the age, condition, demand, and our own inventory levels. After processing your order, you will be given two offers: one in store credit, and another in cash (if eligible). You decide which offer to take. You may also reject both offers and take back your items. If you accept the store credit, congratulations, you're done! The store credit will be saved into an account under your name. To receive the cash offer, you must be over 18 and you must have a valid photo ID or passport. Kids under 18 may have their own trade credit accounts, but if they are receiving cash a parent must be present to show ID.
All payouts are final. Store credit can never be converted into cash. Renu is not a "thrift" shop but on occasion our prices are competitive to thrift shopping.

Buyouts

Sell Or Consign
Renu is always looking for quality furniture and accessories. We can accept furnishings and accessories for every room of the house, ranging from antiques to contemporary.
STEP 1: Contact the Store
Contact US by e-mail, phone, or come in and check out the store. Talk with the store owner to make sure Renu is the perfect showroom for your furniture and decorative accessories.
STEP 2: Evaluate the Merchandise
Send us a picture to valerie@renutreasures.com, or bring a piece of the furniture, or the decorative item to the store.
STEP 3: Price
Consignment items are generally priced by the store, in agreement with you, the consignor.
STEP 4: Payment
Consignor receives 70% via check, once the merchandise has sold. No worries, we use a local bank.
Consignments are accepted Tuesday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. This includes bringing items to store and through email. Exceptions can be made upon request. At any time, a consignor may take back their item, as long as it has not sold. The store may also ask that a consignor come pick up their item, if for some reason after 90 days it has not sold. To request a copy of the consignor terms contact us and put in the comment box "consignor terms"
Please give us a call at (540) 709-1133 or contact us, if you have any questions.
Trade
Renu is always open for trading one or more of our items for one or more of your items. All items, to be traded, must be bought to the store. Owner and trader has the right to not except trade. Owner not responsible for cost of delivery for trader to bring item(s) to the store. Call us at (540) 709 - 1133 to set up an appointment to trade items.
Donate
It's simple. When you donate your stuff to Renu, you receive a 25% off coupon for any sales items in our store, *excluded consignment items plus do away with items you don't want anymore or cluttering your home. Simple. Easy. Fast. No more clutter.
Your impact doesn't end there - the planet also benefits when you choose to ditch the dumpster and drop your items at Renu. Over the last years alone, you've helped keep thousands of pounds of household items and furniture out of landfills.
How to Donate
Just follow these three steps.
Step 1: Gather Your Stuff
If you're looking to donate your unwanted items, you might try walking around your home and collect items you and your family no longer need - that little what-knot in the back of your closet for three years, the toy trike your five-year old has outgrown, the holiday gift from a co-worker you never quite found a place for, etc. Once you found the items to donate look to Step 2.
-
Step 3: Go to Renu
Ready to drop off your items? Just come by the store during our normal business hours.
Things you need to know. We do not have a drop off section. Renu takes donations not items that should be taken to the trash place. So please do not donate items you believe should be taken to the trash place. Thank you.
Step 2: Give Them a Look Over
Donating items that are in good used working condition, contain some or if not all of their pieces and parts, and are free of stains and rips. We do accept household items and furniture that need work, or lots of love. While we accept household items and furnishing there are a few things we can't accept - such as items that have been recalled, banned or do not meet current safety standards. In addition, if you're looking to donate specialty items such as computers, shoes, vehicles, mattresses, clothes or baby clothes and items, it's best to give your local Salvation Army agency a call first to find out any rules or restrictions around these items.
